- Welding Theory & Terminology
- Pulse-TIG Welding
- Basic Metallurgy
- Fluxcore Welding
- Welding Machine Operation
- Pipe Welding
- Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
- Pipe Fitting & Joint Beveling
- MIG Welding
- Blueprint Reading
Textbooks, safety glasses, welding helmets, jackets, and gloves are included.
NOTE: Long pants and composite or steel-toed shoes are required for all welding classes.

What You Will Learn
Measurable Performance Objectives
Upon completion of this course, the student will:
- Describe and utilize welding safety practices used in the field.
- Identify the proper personal protective equipment required to perform welding applications.
- Compare, contrast, and demonstrate multiple types of welding applications
- Explain and demonstrate the proper set up and preparation of the welding machine prior to striking an arc.
- Identify the various settings for multiple welding applications
- Match welding symbols to their proper application.
- Identify and utilize various types of welding rods and their proper application.
- Explain, define, and implement various welding joints.
- Demonstrate the selection of the welding rod for the proper application, strike an arc and successfully run a bead to join two pieces of metal/pipe.
