Real Estate Pre-Licensing
Certificate Program
This course prepares students for the Delaware real estate sales licensing examination. The course consists of three distinct sections: real estate, principles, law, and math. A math challenge exam is given the first night of class to determine possible exemption from taking the math final. Successful completion meets the DE real estate education requirements. It is approved by the DE and MD real estate commissions. Students applying for reciprocity in Delaware can contact (302) 259-6330 to register for the law program separately. The program, in accordance with DE and MD regulations, provides three courses that must be passed to sit for the licensure exam:
- Real Estate Sales
- Real Estate Law
- Real Estate Math
Textbooks are included in tuition. A free virtual information session is available to register for and learn more about the program. Registration is required for it.

Upon completion of this course, the student will:
- Understand the real estate law topic which provides the prospective sales person with a working knowledge of federal/state laws and regulations affecting the profession.
- Obtain working knowledge of real estate mathematics.
- Understand the real estate business including the difference between a brokerage and an agent.
- Acquire the knowledge of real estate financing, fair housing & property manager, and environment issues, construction/septic systems.
