Madison Fox

Softball Student-Athlete

Madison Fox, who has been playing softball for 10 years, had a fantastic freshman campaign for Delaware Tech during the 2025 season. Playing in 29 games, she helped the team return to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Softball World Series after it captured the Atlantic B District Tournament.

At the plate, Fox posted a team-best batting average of .453, scored 20 runs, drove in 17 runs, and hit 7 doubles. She also hit one home run, which is her favorite memory of the season, as it happened during World Series competition and occurred on her mom's birthday.

Defensively, Fox was a catcher who committed just one error in 218 total chances. She recorded 206 putouts and 11 assists for a .995 fielding percentage.

For her overall contributions on the field, Fox was named to the 2025 NJCAA Region 19 Division II All-Region Second Team. While she appreciates the honor, the camaraderie within the team is more important.

"What I enjoy most about playing softball is creating another family outside of my home," she said.

Academically, Fox has been named to the Dean's List each semester she has been at Delaware Tech. Her work in the classroom, combined with similar effort from her teammates, helped the team be named the 2025 NJCAA Softball Academic Team of the Year with its 3.47 cumulative grade point average.

Fox is a general studies major, but she is working toward being accepted into the College's radiologic technology program, whose students are selected through a competitive admission process.

"I chose the radiologic technology program because ever since I got surgery about four years ago, I have wanted to care for others the way I was cared for," she said.

In addition to softball and school work, Fox likes to read, watch Marvel movies, and go to the beach. She also likes tattoos, as she got five within one year, and part of her plans after graduation are to travel more around the world.
