Why Consider a Connected Degree?
Articulation agreements help students transfer their credits more easily and move from one school to another without losing progress. These agreements allow students to complete a program knowing their earned credits will give them the skills they need for their career, lead to a certificate or degree at their first college, and count toward a bachelor’s degree at the partner school.
These agreements also offer many benefits for students, including:
- Making the transfer process easier
- Helping students move faster toward their degree
- Reducing repeated coursework
- Saving money on tuition, fees, and books by avoiding taking the same class twice
- Allowing students to continue their studies in the subject or major they choose
- Strengthening job ready skills
- Improving chances for employment after graduation
- Allowing students to earn college credit
- Encouraging students to stay on track and finish their degree

Note, general education requirements are dependent on program of study and may vary at each four-year college or university. Please work with your program advisor to plan accordingly.
Completing your associate degree does not guarantee that you will meet junior status at a four-year college or university. In general, junior status is determined when you transfer a minimum of 60 credits into a desired program of study at a four-year college or university. It is important to create an academic plan to ensure a smooth and successful transfer. Please work with your program advisor to plan accordingly.
Some four-year colleges and universities may admit students with a 2.0 GPA, while others may require a higher GPA for admissions. Please work with your program advisor to review transfer admissions requirements.
This varies among four-year colleges and universities. Generally, courses with a grade of "C" or better are eligible for transfer. Please note that some major or program specific courses may require a grade of "B" or better to transfer. Please work with your program advisor to review the transfer policy of the partner institution you plan to attend.

You must meet the minimum credit and GPA requirements, which may vary among different four-year colleges and universities. To maximize the transfer of credits and to save money, you are encouraged to complete an associate degree and then transfer.
This can vary depending on the receiving college or university. Some universities will transfer no more than 70 credits, but there are some that will accept up to 90 credits. The transfer policy and articulation agreement should be reviewed.
Some advantages include savings on tuition costs, graduating on time, transfer scholarships, and much more!
