The graduate is prepared to function as an integral member of the health care team within the roles of provider of care, manager of care, and member within the discipline of nursing in a variety of health care settings and is eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. Delaware State University's Bachelor of Science degree program in Nursing features an unusually high degree of interaction between faculty and students, on campus and online. Our nursing students work in smart classrooms and simulation labs, and are exposed to the high-tech tools of the nursing profession. Above all, the undergraduate nursing degree emphasizes real-world experience and direct community involvement. Students participate in field work at public clinics, schools, assisted-living facilities, and other health care sites. They gain confidence and preparedness with leadership and management skills to excel in this rapidly growing profession.
