Visual Communications Students Earn Adobe Certifications

March 8, 2023

Delaware Tech’s visual communications program celebrated students who earned Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) certifications during 2022 by handing out Adobe Certification Celebration packets. The packets were developed by program faculty and were based on a tier system, with more certifications and higher scores resulting in a larger packet.

Collectively, 85 students earned 128 certificates in the Creative Cloud applications of Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro. Four students obtained certifications in all four applications, 12 students obtained certifications in three applications, and seven students earned two certifications.

Five students were recognized for receiving the highest certification exam score in each specific Adobe program: Evan Apps in InDesign, Ricardo Hernandez in Premiere Pro, Grace Riddle and Baylee Wesson in Photoshop, and Logan Farro in Illustrator.

"Earning these certifications shows that our students are proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud software,” said Patti Bishop, visual communications department chair. “The skills they are developing give them the opportunity to create many amazing things for potential clients or employers. This is just the beginning to build a successful creative career.”
