Ready to Serve: Paramedic Class Celebrated at Delaware Tech

The Delaware Tech paramedic program held a coin ceremony to celebrate 11 students who completed the paramedic program. The ceremony marked the culmination of the students’ educational journey at the College, which included 2,000 hours of classroom instruction, simulation lab training, clinical rotations and a field internship.
The March 12 ceremony recognized the students who completed the 36-credit certificate program: Dana Cecce, Daniel Cooper, Matthew Dodds, Caitlyn Fanelli, Brandon Grant, Makenzy Marvel, Wyatt McGinnis, Madison Sergent, Todd Warwick, Hannah Wheatley and Kayla Wiley.
Vice President and Campus Director Paul T. Morris congratulated the students on their hard work and dedication and noted that all 11 graduates passed the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians paramedic exam on their first attempt.
“You are not just leaving Delaware Tech with knowledge,” he said. “You’re stepping into the world with a noble purpose - a purpose to serve, to heal, and to make a lasting impact on every life you encounter.,”
Paramedic Class 2 graduate Daniel Cooper addressed his peers, reflecting on their journey and emphasizing how the group grew from uncertain beginners into confident, capable professionals.
“Let us welcome the chaos, challenge the odds, and strive to make a lifesaving impact on the community that surrounds us,” he said.
