Visual Communications Students Earn Adobe Certifications
April 2, 2025
Delaware Tech’s visual communications program recently celebrated 166 students who earned Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) certifications in 2024 that recognize their mastery of four different Creative Cloud applications during a timed certification exam.
The students earned a total of 204 certificates in the Creative Cloud applications of Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro. Seven students obtained certifications in all four applications, 27 students obtained certifications in three applications, and 30 students earned two certifications.
"Earning these certifications shows that our students are proficient in Creative Cloud software, and because they have become Adobe-certified, they are starting to show that they are among the rising stars of our industry,” said Patti Bishop, visual communications department chair. “The skills set they are developing gives them the opportunity to create some amazing things. Creativity matched with technology is a catalyst for success.”
Four students were recognized for receiving the highest certification exam score among Delaware Tech students in each specific Adobe program: Jeanne-Marie Johns in Photoshop, Benjamin Carper in Illustrator, Corrine Mills in InDesign, and Emmanuel Adegbe in Premiere Pro.
Each student received an Adobe Certification Celebration packet put together by program faculty based on a tier system, with more certifications and higher scores resulting in a larger packet of promotional items from Adobe and Delaware Tech.
