Softball Head Coach Guy Wilkins Records 200th Win at Delaware Tech
April 7, 2025
Â鶹ÊÓƵ women’s softball head coach Guy Wilkins secured his 200th win at the College after sweeping a March 30 double-header against Rowan College of South Jersey. Wilkins has been Delaware Tech’s head coach since 2016 and has an overall record of 200-81 after recording his milestone victory.
The 200 wins may be tied to his name, but Wilkins knows the success is a result of everyone within the program working together.
“Bringing in quality student-athletes and having great coaches on your staff makes the job a lot easier,” said Wilkins, whose current assistant coaches are Kylie Kruger and Sami Mumford.
As head coach, Wilkins has guided Delaware Tech to three National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Championship Tournaments (2021-2023), four NJCAA Region 19 Championships (2021-2024), and three NJCAA District Championships (2021-2023). He has also been named NJCAA Region 19 Coach of the Year four times (2021-2024) and has twice been selected NJCAA District Coach of the Year (2022 and 2023).
In addition, the program has produced 44 NJCAA Region 19 All-Region players, one NJCAA Division II National All-America player, two NJCAA Region 19 Pitcher of the Year honorees, and two NJCAA Region 19 Player of the Year award winners.
The team has found historic success under Wilkins’ guidance, and the program’s accomplishments aren’t limited to wins on the playing field. Since 2018, 35 players have received NJCAA All-Academic honors, and the program was named the 2024 NJCAA Softball Academic Team of the Year with a cumulative grade point average of 3.11.
