U.S. Senator Tom Carper, chair of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, and White House Council on Environmental Quality Chair Brenda Mallory spent part of Earth Day 2022 on the Dover campus of Delaware Tech.

They led a panel that included students from the College’s three energy technologies programs of study, as well as faculty and administrators, including Campus Director Cornelia Johnson, Dean of Instruction John Buckley, and Director of Workforce Development and Community Education Kristen Yencer.

Topics of discussion included workforce development and job training in the renewable energy sector, the newly expanded SEED Scholarship offered at Delaware Tech, and an overview of the

College’s energy technologies programs shared by department chair Dr. Jennifer Clemons. An open Q&A session followed the panel discussion.
