Record Number of Student-Athletes Receives NJCAA All-Academic Honors

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ had a record-setting 20 student-athletes receive National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic honors for their academic achievements in the 2021-2022 season.

The previous record number of NJCAA All-Academic student-athletes was 13, set in 2019.

Nineteen of the 20 student-athletes graduated from a Delaware high school, with one graduating from a Maryland high school. All eight sports that Delaware Tech offers are represented by at least one student-athlete.

The NJCAA All-Academic Award consists of three tiers of teams. The first team includes student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA, the second team includes student-athletes with a 3.8-3.99 GPA, and the third team includes student-athletes with a 3.6-3.79 GPA.

The 20 student-athletes honored from Delaware Tech are:

All-Academic First Team:

  • Carly Collins, softball, elementary education major, from Millsboro – Sussex Central High School
  • Tori Henry, softball, elementary education major, from Laurel – Sussex Tech High School
  • Joe Jones, men’s basketball, general studies major, from Middletown – Appoquinimink High School
  • Matt Kracyla, men’s lacrosse, general studies major, from Middletown – Middletown High School
  • Riley Sapp, men’s lacrosse, civil engineering major, from Harrington – Lake Forest High School

All-Academic Second Team:

  • Cameron Beulah, baseball, civil engineering, from Felton – Lake Forest High School
  • Rene Eastburn, women’s cross country, general business, from Clayton – Middletown High School
  • Connor Fuchs, men’s lacrosse, applied agriculture major, from Felton – Polytech High School
  • Kylie Kruger, softball, elementary education major, from Georgetown – Sussex Central High School
  • Jeremy Netsch, baseball, elementary education major, from Clayton – Smyrna High School
  • Camryn Quirk, softball, elementary education major, from Newark – Newark Charter School
