Player of the Week Honors for Austin and Marsh

Strong performances during spring break training trips to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, set the foundation for Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) Player of the Week awards for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ baseball player Will Austin (Middletown High School) and softball player Abby Marsh (Cape Henlopen High School). The awards were announced March 16.
Marsh, a freshman, was named EPAC Softball Pitcher of the Week after she helped Delaware Tech win three games. Marsh recorded two wins and one save. She pitched a total of 14.1 innings, striking out 12 batters while allowing two earned runs, two walks, and 12 hits.
The softball team's victories were 10-1 over Central Lake College, 2-1 over Henry Ford College, and 5-1 over USC Sumter.
Austin, a sophomore who plays first base and also serves as a designated hitter, was selected EPAC Baseball Hitter of the Week after posting a .381 batting average over seven games. He recorded eight hits in 21 at bats, including three doubles, one triple, and one home run. He also drove in six runs, scored five runs, drew three walks, and recorded two stolen bases.
Delaware Tech won four of the seven games – 13-3 over Bay College, 14-0 over Community College of Rhode Island, 4-1 over RCSJ-Cumberland, and 15-3 over Rockland Community College.
