Delaware Tech’s Keyon Scott Earns NJCAA All-Region Honors

As Delaware Tech closed out its 2023-2024 men’s basketball season this month, one of the team’s standout players recently received post-season accolades. Sophomore guard Keyon Scott was named National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 19 Division II Men’s Basketball Second Team All-Region.
Scott had a stellar season for Delaware Tech, averaging 19.4 points per game to lead the team and the region in scoring. In 27 games, he scored 523 points, with 63 rebounds, 69 assists, and 30 steals. He also averaged 2.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.
During the 2022-2023 season, Scott started 13 of the team's 28 games and finished with 11.5 points per game and led the team in assists with 3.5 per game. He finished with 845 career points.
“It was a pleasure to have coached Keyon for the past two years,” said Head Coach Richard Rago. “He has been an integral part of our program, leading us to outstanding upset victories over first-place Middlesex and signature wins over Harford and Cecil. I will be extremely proud when I see him walk the stage for his diploma and successfully move to the next level of the classroom and basketball court.”
