Alyssa Diem and Audrey Hensley Receive Post-Season Honors

Two Delaware Tech women’s volleyball players were recently recognized for their outstanding performance throughout the 2025 season.

Sophomore Alyssa Diem and freshman Audrey Hensley received post-season accolades from the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). both players were named to the 2025 NJCAA Region 19 Women’s Volleyball Division II All-Region Team and the 2025 All-EPAC Team. Diem was also recognized for her performance during the Region 19 Division II playoff tournament and was named to the 2025 All-Tournament Team.

"Alyssa and Audrey both had an incredible season,” said Erin Carney, head coach of Delaware Tech's women's volleyball program. “They showed remarkable composure despite facing adversities, like pushing through their own injuries or helping the team stay grounded during difficult matches. Their consistency helped drive us forward, and their performances speak for themselves.”

Diem ended her final season after reaching an impressive career milestone of 1,140 assists over the course of her two years playing for Delaware Tech. On Oct. 12, the same week Diem scored her 1000th assist, she was recognized as the EPAC Co-Player of the Week. Additionally, she played in 42 total matches and scored 54 kills, 121 service aces, and 338 digs.

Hensley was named Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 8 and rounded out her first season with 263 kills, 618 attacks, 34 service aces, and 168 digs. Overall, she has played in a total of 15 matches.

“Alyssa’s ability to run a steady offense and Audrey’s presence as a six-rotation outside hitter were huge contributors to our team’s success,” said Carney. “The numbers they put up this season are among the strongest we’ve seen in our program, but even more impressive is the heart and resilience they showed until the very end.”

The women’s volleyball team wrapped up the 2025 season on Nov. 1, when they faced off against Lackawanna College during the Region 19 Division II playoff tournament. While Delaware Tech did not advance beyond the semi-final match, the team closed out the regular season with a 12-10 record.
