Delaware Tech Basketball Players Receive Post-Season Honors

麻豆视频's men’s and women’s basketball teams wrapped up the 2024-2025 season on Feb. 22, when they faced off against Essex County Community College during home games at the Stanton Campus.

Because of her outstanding performance, Thailys Torres, a freshman player on the Delaware Tech women’s basketball team, received post-season accolades from the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) when she was named to the Division I and Division II All-Conference First Team for women’s basketball.

Torres played in all 23 games this season and scored an impressive 368 total points. She averaged 16 points per game, ranking her 11th in the region. Torres also shot 80.6% from the free-throw line, ranking her first in the region. During a game on Jan. 28 against Mercer County Community College, she secured the first double-double of her career.

On the men’s basketball team, sophomore Drew Zimmermann received numerous post-season awards, which included being named to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 19 Division II Men’s Basketball All-Region First Team and to the EPAC Division I and Division II All-Conference First Team. He was also awarded the EPAC Player of the Year title.

Zimmerman came to Delaware Tech from Cape Henlopen High School and was the team’s lead scorer during the 2024-2025 season. He scored 588 total points this season, ranking him eighth in the nation. When combined with his freshman season, he delivered a career total of 816 points. In addition to points scored, Zimmerman was also second in the nation for assists this year, with a total of 121. During the final game of his career, he achieved a rare triple-double with 18 Points, 10 assists, and 12 rebounds.

The men’s and women’s basketball teams will return to the court in September 2025.
