March 31, 2023

Delaware Tech inducted 273 students into Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), an international honor society for students who attend two-year colleges, during a series of PTK chapter ceremonies held throughout March 2023.

On March 21, the Dover campus honored 57 students who entered the Alpha Beta Kappa chapter. In Georgetown, on March 22, 79 students joined the Alpha Epsilon Epsilon chapter. In a March 28 ceremony, 58 students from the Stanton campus were inducted into the Alpha Epsilon Zeta chapter and 79 students from the Wilmington campus became members of the Alpha Zeta Kappa chapter.

Established by Missouri’s two-year college presidents in 1918, Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society serves to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and provide opportunities for individual growth and development through honors, leadership, and service programming. In 1929, the American Association of Community Colleges recognized Phi Theta Kappa as the official honor society for two-year colleges.
