Â鶹ÊÓƵ is pleased to announce Chip Rossi, president of Bank of America Delaware, and his wife Tracy as honorary chairs of the 20th Anniversary Mardi Gras Gala, hosted by the Stanton and Wilmington campuses.

An Evening of Mardi Gras will be held Saturday, March 2, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Orlando J. George, Jr. Campus in Wilmington. The premier fundraising event, which has raised $2 million over the past 19 years, supports student success at the Stanton and Wilmington campuses. Net proceeds go toward scholarships to help students pay for tuition, books, and other essentials while attending Delaware Tech.

“Tracy and I are humbled to serve as honorary chairs of Delaware Tech’s 20th Anniversary Mardi Gras Gala,” said Chip Rossi, president of Bank of America Delaware. “Each year, this event provides much needed financial support to students who are looking to enhance their skills and capabilities to create better economic mobility for themselves and their families.”

Chip, a Delaware native and graduate of William Penn High School in New Castle, joined Bank of America in 1989 and currently serves as the head of the bank’s Prepaid Card Unemployment Programs. He has also served as President of Bank of America Delaware for the past 13 years. In this role, he is responsible for connecting clients, teammates, and communities to the full power of the bank, driving integration across eight lines of business. A member of the Delaware State Chamber Board of Governors and the Delaware Business Roundtable, Chip has long sought to build public/private partnerships to advance economic mobility and strengthen the First State’s communities.

Chip and Tracy met while attending Gettysburg College and have been married for 32 years. Tracy worked as a physical therapist until they made the decision for her to spend more time at home to raise their two daughters. Chip and Tracy have supported many organizations by giving of their time and providing financial support including through their alma mater Gettysburg College, Delaware State University, Christiana Care, The Grand Opera House, Reach Riverside, Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County, William Penn High School, Â鶹ÊÓƵ, and Delaware Children’s Theatre.

Guests of An Evening of Mardi Gras will be treated to exceptional New Orleans style music, entertainment, and cuisine. In addition, the event will include wine and signature cocktails, a silent auction, raffles, and a variety of Mardi Gras-inspired activities throughout the venue.

“We are honored to have Chip and Tracy Rossi serve as honorary chairs as we celebrate 20 years of Mardi Gras at Delaware Tech,” said Dr. Lora Johnson, vice president and campus director of the Wilmington campus. “The generous support of our sponsors and guests makes this event successful each year, and it truly makes a significant impact on the achievements of our students.”

Tickets to the 20th Anniversary Mardi Gras Gala are $125 each with additional sponsorship opportunities available.
