March 16, 2026
After a strong start to the 2025-2026 season, the Delaware Tech men’s basketball team faced tough competition going into the winter months of this academic year. Despite a challenging series of games, the team still managed to secure an 89-78 win over Essex County Community College in December and a thrilling 87-85 triumph against Anne Arundel Community College in February.
The team’s first major test was a competitive Dec. 11 matchup against Middlesex Community College that ended in a close 67-73 loss. Chase Wright led the offense by scoring a game-high 20 points, but it was not enough to hold off a close defeat. Just a few days later, on Dec. 16, Amari Moses and Obi Coleman delivered strong performances against Raritan Valley Community College. Although the team fell short again, Coleman tallied 13 points, and Moses contributed 16.
The team made up for the two losses on Dec. 20 by defeating Essex County College. Despite a rough start, the team launched a massive offensive push in the game’s second half that led to a final score of 89-78. Wright led the offense with an outstanding 27 points while Moses added 19 points and 16 rebounds, earning his third double-double of the season. Dom Angeloni and Coleman each added another 15 points, helping secure the win and close out the December leg of the season.
The first game of 2026 saw Coleman achieve a career-high 27 points against Howard Community College, along with eight rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks. He maintained his momentum going into the following game on Jan. 10 against County College of Morris, leading the offense with 23 points, 11 of which came from the free-throw line.
Coleman’s impressive performance during these two games earned him the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) Player of the Week title for the second time this season. During that same game against Morris, Moses also secured his fourth double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds.
On Jan. 14, the team faced Cecil College and suffered a tough 10-point defeat, finishing 65-75. Despite the setback, Coleman delivered another standout performance with 19 points and 12 rebounds, marking his fourth double-double of the season. Moses added 18 points, and Wright added 16 points. Coleman’s fifth double-double came in a matchup with Baltimore County Community College, where he scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Wright powered the team’s offense that game with 23 points.
A Feb. 3 game against Mercer County Community College saw Coleman earn his sixth double-double by scoring 27 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. During that same game, Moses secured his fifth double-double with 21 points and 16 rebounds.
On Feb. 12, against Fredrick Community College, Jaxon Lennon had a breakout performance by leading the team’s offense with 24 points and five steals. Coleman continued to perform well and scored his seventh double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Bailey added an additional 15 points, 12 of which came from behind the three-point line.
As the team took on the final few games of the 2025-2026 season, Lennon, Coleman, and Moses continued to drive the offense. Their next stop was Lackawanna College, where on Feb 12, Lennon maintained a game-high of 17 points. Coleman added 12 points and grabbed five rebounds, and Moses earned his sixth double-double by scoring 10 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.
During Sophomore Night on Feb. 17, all three sophomore players delivered standout performances against Division II rival Raritan Valley Community College. Moses and Coleman each scored 23 points, while Bailey added 11 points. Although the team suffered a devastating loss in the final minutes of the game, Coleman earned his eighth double-double with 13 additional rebounds.
The team brought everything they had to the final game of the year against Anne Arundel Community College on Feb. 17 and secured another win, ending the season on a high note. In the game’s final minutes, Bailey managed to score a three-point shot and then make an additional foul shot, pulling Delaware Tech into the lead. Overall, he scored 11 points, and nine of them came from behind the three-point line. Wright and Coleman contributed 25 points, and Lennon scored an additional 17 points.
Overall, the men’s basketball team concluded the 2025-2026 season going 6-19 overall and 2-10 in Region 19 Division II competition. Men’s basketball will resume at Delaware Tech in November 2026.
