Delaware Tech Honors 20 Students with Alpha Beta Gamma Induction
March 31, 2026
Delaware Tech recently inducted 20 students into the Eta Delta chapter of Alpha Beta Gamma, a national honor society that recognizes and encourages academic achievement among students enrolled in business or professional programs at two-year colleges.
The College held the March 16 ceremony in the Del-One Conference Center on the Terry Campus in Dover. Dr. Paul T. Morris Jr., vice president and campus director, welcomed attendees and recognized the commitment of Alpha Beta Gamma advisors Amber Bradley and Tanya McDaniels.
Morris praised the students for their academic excellence and their decision to join Alpha Beta Gamma.
“Remember, your efforts now shape your future for years to come,” he said. “Continue on this path of academic success and student leadership.”
Tarez Williams, branch manager at Del-One Federal Credit Union, served as the guest speaker. She shared her journey from pre-med to a long career in banking, where Williams found a passion for helping others through financial guidance and leadership. She emphasized the importance of lifelong learning, mentorship, and fostering a positive work environment.
Williams encouraged students to pursue fulfillment rather than remain in unfulfilling roles or focus solely on financial gain.
“If whatever you're doing right now isn't working for you, try something else,” she said. “Just keep trying. I cannot stress that enough.”
Alpha Beta Gamma is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies. College and university leaders founded the organization in 1925 to oversee membership standards and ensure the integrity of honor societies. Today, it continues to serve as the governing body for most honor societies in the United States.
