Alpha Beta Gamma Honor Society Inducts Newest Members at Dover Campus

April 24, 2025

Delaware Tech recently celebrated the induction of 33 students into the Eta Delta chapter of Alpha Beta Gamma, a national honor society that recognizes and encourages academic achievement among students enrolled in business or professional programs at two-year colleges.

Evie Zerefos, a successful business owner and educator, served as the guest speaker for the April 17 ceremony at the Terry Campus in Dover. She shared her inspiring journey from a student at Delaware Tech to her career as a serial entrepreneur, highlighting the value of education and mentorship.

Zerefos urged students to build strong relationships with their instructors.

“They’re here to support you,” she said. “As an instructor myself, my greatest success is when I see my students walk across that stage and move on to their next success.”

Alpha Beta Gamma is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS). A group of college and university professors, administrators, and representatives founded ACHS in 1925 to oversee the function, membership standards, and integrity of existing honor societies. Today, ACHS continues to serve as the governing body for the majority of honor societies in the United States.
