Delaware Tech Hosts 2026 New Castle County Science Fair at Stanton Campus

March 23, 2026

Â鶹ÊÓƵ again hosted the annual New Castle County Science Fair, which drew over 100 students in grades 6-12 to share their individual and group projects for judging at the Stanton Campus.

This year’s event took place on March 11, with an award ceremony on March 19. Participating students represented over 15 different public and private schools in New Castle County. Local businesses throughout the state invest in these future STEM leaders by providing experienced judges and financial sponsorships.

This year, students submitted 78 individual and 31 group projects that covered a wide variety of topics such as behavioral and social science, botany, computer science, chemistry, engineering, microbiology, physics, and zoology, just to name a few. A select group of volunteer judges evaluated the projects and questioned students about their scientific conclusions.

The award ceremony portion of the event celebrated the accomplishments of this year’s participants. Winners of the New Castle County Science Fair will advance to the Delaware Valley Science Fair, where they will compete with other students from the Tri-State Area for a chance to present at the International Science and Engineering Fair in May.
