Delaware Tech’s Men’s Basketball Player Named EPAC Player of the Year

麻豆视频 is proud to announce that Drew Zimmerman has been named the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) Division I and Division II Player of the Year for the 2024-2025 men’s basketball season.

Zimmerman, a Cape Henlopen High School graduate, had a standout sophomore season, finishing eighth in the nation with 588 points scored. When combined with his previous season, he has a career total of 816 points. In addition, Zimmerman was second in the nation for assists this year, with a total of 121. Drew led the Delaware Tech men’s basketball team as a team captain and his reputation was well-known throughout the region. Often, he would find that other teams were constructing their defense specifically around him.

“Drew succeeded despite being the number one target of every defense to stop,” said Richard Rago, head coach of men’s basketball at Delaware Tech. “The coaches are quite proud of Drew with his academic pursuits. We look forward to seeing him walk across the stage at graduation in the near future.”

Zimmerman scored his first double-double when facing off against Mercer County Community College early on in the season and then went on to not only claim a second double-double, but also score an incredibly rare triple-double during the final game of his career. He achieved three-threes four times since the season started and played a total of 1,029 minutes, ranking him third nationally.

In addition to being named EPAC Player of the Year, Zimmerman was also named to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 19 Division II Men’s Basketball All-Region First Team and to the EPAC Division I and Division II All-Conference First Team.

After graduating from Delaware Tech, Zimmerman plans to attend a four-year college to complete his biology degree and continue his love for basketball.
